Donna Perham has a BS in Nursing and has worked in various nursing fields throughout her career. She has raised three children and during their time in school she volunteered with many aspects of the school and community. She co-developed and taught a program for Foothill Middle School, called Smart Start, which deals with drug awareness, social and emotional pressures and conflict resolution. She also co-developed and taught a program on Depression Awareness for Foothill Middle School. She, along with Tricia Carella, founded The Creek Middle School Youth Center in 2005 located on Foothill Middle School’s campus and opened a second site at Walnut Creek Intermediate School in 2008. She currently is co-director at The Creek at Foothill.
Tricia Carella has a BA in Speech Pathology and Audiology with a Masters in Early Childhood Education. Tricia has raised three daughters and has been an active volunteer in the schools and community. Tricia taught at Mills College in the department of Education. At Mills she trained both undergraduates and graduates to be teachers, She has taught at a number of schools and was director of a local preschool. She has many years of experience working with children, staff, boards and running a business. Tricia, along with Donna Perham founded The Creek Middle School Youth Center which opened in 2005 on Foothill Middle School Campus and opened a second site in 2008 at Walnut Creek Intermediate. Currently, Tricia is co-director at The Creek at Foothill.
Kristy Miller received her B.S. in Journalism from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, her multiple subject teaching credential from Cal State, Hayward (East Bay) and her M. A. in school administration from the University of San Francisco. She taught elementary school in San Francisco and the south bay before she reduced her workdays when the oldest of her five children started middle school. After many years of substitute teaching, Kristy returned to the daily work force as Director of The Creek at WCI in August, 2008. |
